
The singer's summer anthem ends Coldplay's one-day reign at the top of both the U.S. album and singles charts - her hit topples the British band's "Violet Hill," which claimed the number one spot last week; but the group's new album Viva La Vida debuted at the top of the album charts on Wednesday.
The Billboard chart's first number one record was Bill Haley & The Comets' 1955 hit "Rock Around The Clock."
Lil Wayne's "Lollipop" jumps back up the chart to two, as does Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" at three. The week's highest debut belongs to Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas, whose duet "This Is Me" from TV movie Camp Rock enters the countdown at 11.
