Jackie Chan goes for a Total change

Big Brother Jackie Chan is over fifty, and now in his new film “Sinjuku Incident” he is going to change. He will forsake his comedic fighting and will no longer be a hero that never dies.
Besides starring Jackie Chan, Sinjuku Incident, directed by Derek Yee, also features Daniel Wu, Fan Bingbing (范冰冰) and Xu Jinglei (徐静蕾). It is being shot in Japan currently and the shooting there will likely end by 20 January. The film will go into post production in February in Beijing. The movie is scheduled to be released on 1 October in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Jackie Chan’s past movies have mostly been family-friendly. Even though there were many fight scenes, the entertainment aspect far exceeds the violence level. As such, he has captured a large global audience across all ages. However at his current age, he expressed of feeling tired to continue his comedic style of fighting, and the roles no longer suit his age. So he decides to make a change in upcoming Sinjuku Incident.
In the new movie, there will still be fighting scenes, but the main focus would be on drama. Even when it comes to fight scenes, they would “real fights”, not sophisticatedly choreographed comedic kung fu fighting. Most importantly, because of the struggles with the Japanese gangs, at the end of the movie, Jackie Chan’s character’s body would be shown to be floating on the water in Tokyo Bay. Such scenes have never appeared in Jackie Chan’s movies of the past. “Big Brother” not only becomes a gangster but also dies at the end. Such breakthrough would definitely shock Jackie Chan fans around the world, but for a longer career in acting, Jackie Chan has made the right choice.
According to the storyline, Jackie Chan comes to Tokyo, Japan in search of his lost girlfriend, Xu Jinglei. When he found out that she has married to the head of a Japanese mafia, he becomes depressed. But after meeting Fan Bingbing, a procuress also from China, he regains his confidence. Eventually he gets involved in the struggle for power in the underworld of Japanese gangsters. He leads other Chinese immigrants to fight for a place in the Japanese territory. However after he transfers his power to the younger generation led by Daniel Wu, the whole situation has changed.
