Amy Winehouse's drug addiction is playing havoc with her health. After being diagnosed with a lung condition, the singer is now, suffering from drug-induced heart problems, it has emerged.
The 'Back to Black' singer's family and managers, who say she has lung condition emphysema, actually fear that the troubled star would die from coronary failure, the sources have said.
According to insiders, the 24-year-old singer, who has had two serious attacks, is suffering terrifying heart attack-like symptoms, including chest pains, breathlessness, numbness and confusion.
Last month the Rehab singer had a fit and had been hospitalised, with her dad Mitch saying that she had emphysema, but a source revealed otherwise.
"We were terrified she'd had a heart attack," News of the World quoted the source as saying.
"Her pulse was barely there and she was struggling to breathe and complaining of chest pains. It was awful.
"She got Mitch to take her to hospital because she didn't want a fuss but it was really serious. Far more serious than she's made out since then.
"Amy is far more at risk from drug-induced heart failure than emphysema," the source stated.
News of the World GP Dr Hilary Jones said on July 12 that it was "very likely" drug-addict Amy had damaged her heart.
"Crack cocaine is a stimulant. It can send the heart haywire, leading to irregular beats, palpitations, breathlessness, chest pains-all the symptoms of a heart attack," Jones explained.
"It could be very dramatic and frightening for Amy. She would also be very breathless and have water on the lungs as a result, which might suggest a lung complaint like emphysema.
"But emphysema is more common in people over 50. She's way too young to have damaged her lungs to that extent, and the fact she can still sing amazingly suggests they aren't badly damaged."It's more likely her breathing problems are a side-affect of having damaged her heart by taking drugs," Jones added.

Her mother was horrified and wanted to move, "but there was nowhere to go. At that time you couldn't get away from it - knives were everywhere. I definitely understand that feeling of wanting to protect yourself," she said.
However, she said that her single parent mother Terri Augello had a major role to play in how she survived in the shady streets and also in what she today.
"She had to be terrified: I was a girl in Hell's Kitchen and she knew I wasn't staying inside, so one of the best things she did for me was to keep me busy," said Keys.

Jailed Fielder-Civil desperate to get back into Amy winehouse

Amy Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil pleaded to be let back into the singer's life in a tearful prison call.
According to sources, Fielder-Civil used one of his two weekly calls to grovel Winehouse's father Mitch for one final chance to rebuild his relationship with the 24-year-old singer.
He is desperate to convince him that he has a future with his daughter.
Mitch has agreed to the request but warned the 26-year-old to clean up his act as Winehouse's delicate health means even one cigarette could kill her'.
"Blake was distraught when he spoke to Mitch," the Daily Star quoted a source, as saying.
"Amy thinks he could be out in days but Blake is more realistic and knows he could be facing a long stretch behind bars.
"He pledged to clean up and said he would keep Amy clean too.
"He knows it's his responsibility as a husband to keep her away from anything that could kill her.
"He was desperate for an assurance that on his release he would get the chance to be with Amy again - and he knows Mitch is the key to making that happen.
"Thankfully for Blake, Mitch agreed but he was warned that anything unhealthy - even a cigarette - could kill Amy."He knows his daughter loves Blake and for that reason alone he has granted him one last chance to save his marriage," the source added.Fielder-Civil is in the segregation unit at London's Pentonville jail waiting to be sentenced for beating up a pub landlord and attempting to cover up the crime.

Shah Rukh Khan: Always there for his friends

We all know about Shah Rukh Khan's generosity. And he is always willing to step in and help his old friends. He did that recently with Aziz Mirza, the man who gave him Circus and Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman. He stepped in to do a voiceover on Mirza's request for the latter's film Kismat Konnection.
Shah Rukh had just returned from London when Mirza called him and made his request. But SRK being SRK not only agreed to do the job but went over in the night to complete the job. Understandably, Mirza is all praises not only for the voiceover, but for the manner in which SRK responded to his call. Interestingly, the voice over was to be done by Juhi Chawla originally, who plays the character of a crystal ball reader in the film. But the actress, felt that she would not be able to do full justice to it as it required a stronger voice. As is well known, SRK, Juhi and Mirza go back a long time. They also have a production house together called Dreamz Unlimited which had made films like Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Asoka and Chalte Chalte. Mirza has been heard saying that Shahid's character is one which could have been played by SRK, if the film was made twenty years ago. They trio have not made any film together for a while with SRK busy with his own company, Red Chillies. But they have always maintained that they will make a film, if an appropriate script comes up. It's nice to see this level of camaraderie that still exists among old partners.Shah Rukh is also back with Hrithik !! Long ago they shared screen together as siblings in Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and now they are once again ready to be seen together after a long hiatus. Celebrities' secret phobias

Whether it's cockroaches or heights, spiders or flying - everyone has a fear, and if you thought that the phenomenon of phobias do not exist for celebrities, then you need to think twice.
The survey of more than 1000 people including celebrities has revealed some of celebrities' deepest fears.
With Scarlett Johansson it is the fear of cockroaches.
"I once knew a girl who actually had giant African cockroaches as pets, and she would play with them and fuss over them. She often tried to get me to touch one, but I wouldn't. I told her I have been afraid of them ever since I once woke up with one crawling over my face, and another was in my shoe,'' she said.
The survey, commissioned by one of Britain's leading hypnotherapists, Joseph Clough, revealed that Nicole Kidman is a lepidopterphobe - she is terrified of butterflies.
"I am not afraid of snakes or spiders -- just butterflies. It all started when I was a child. Sometimes I would come home from school and the biggest butterfly you have ever seen would be fluttering on our front gate. I'd climb over the fence rather than touch the gate, and crawl around to the side of the house to go in the back door.'' she said.
Jennifer Love Hewitt has revealed that she has a number of phobias, the worst of which is a fear of elevators.
"The trouble is that many of the Hollywood meetings I have to attend take place at the top of tall buildings -- and I simply cannot set foot in a lift if there are too many people in it. If there's four of five people in it, then I just about manage it," she said.
"I prefer it when it's empty so I can scream if I want to. I am also scared of sharks, which is why you will never find me in the sea, and I am a terrible hypochondriac. I have every illness known to man, and I am pretty sure I have had the bird flu four of five times. I know I drive people mad with my phobias,'' she added.
Jennifer Aniston has been terrified of flying ever since she was caught in a bad storm in a small plane years ago.
"We became caught up in an electrical storm. And the Toronto to New York flight took two hours, which was twice the usual time," she said.
"Every time we flew over a field I hoped the pilot would decide to land, but he didn't. What really scares me is the take-off. I've heard all about the aerodynamics, the speed, the engine -- but I still get nervous,'' she added.
Among the male celebrities who admit to having phobias is Johnny Depp, who revealed that he is not only afraid of singing in public, but also of clowns.
"I was forced to overcome my singing fear because of the movie Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. I warned director Tim Burton that I wasn't very confident of my singing abilities, '' he says.
"I also have had an acute fear of clowns -- a condition known as coulrophobia -- ever since I had nightmares of them as a kid. I used to see their faces leering at me," he added
Soccer ace David Beckham suffers from ataxophobia - a fear of disorder or untidiness.
He admits that everything has to match: his shirts are arranged in his wardrobe according to colour, and he lines up cans of Coke in the fridge.
"I'm very organised and controlled and need to go to bed at night knowing what I'm going to wear the next morning,'' he said.

Jackie Chan's museum starts its construction in Shanghai

In Hong Kong Jackie Chan's Web site says construction has begun on a museum for the action movie star in the Chinese financial capital of Shanghai. A statement published Friday says the 54-year-old attended a ceremony marking the start of work earlier this week.
The museum will house props and costumes from Chan's movie, photos and other memorabilia, the Web site said. Construction is scheduled to finish in October 2009.Action hero Jackie Chan laid the foundation of a new museum, which will be named after him, on Tuesday.
The Jackie Chan Film Art Museum will be constructed in Shanghai, and Chan’s legendary career will be archived there.
According to reports, Chan handpicked the location for the museum in the Changfeng Ecology Commercial District in Shanghai’’s Putuo District.
Basically, the renovation of an old factory building will give way to the museum, which will stand on a plot of 3,100 square meters.
Work on the project is expected to complete on October 1 next year, reports the China Daily.
The museum will give visitors a chance to retrace Chan’’s footsteps from Hong Kong to Hollywood, navigate through detailed showpieces of the actor from being a Chinese icon, a kung-fu megastar to a charity devotee.
Also on display will be some of the film awards Chan has won, as well as costumes and props he has used.
According to Chan’’s Web site, the actor has also signed a contract in Yunnan Province for a Jackie Chan Peace Garden.
Through this, he will cooperate with the local government to promote “Environment, Friendship, and Charity”, says the site.
Earlier, a report also suggested that Chan was planning to build a kung-fu school.
